Gig with old friends at Café Käsje in Simmern,
Westerwald, Germany on Sunday, June 22nd, 2003

Frank Ercolano (Koblenz), Jo Schneider (Drummer from Bonn), Alexander Hast (Los Angeles) and Joao Haubruck (Moers) (left to right) playing in front of the Café Käsje.  Jo and Joao are very good friends of Alexander, who worked with them independently in Los Angeles. They came to Simmern to see him again and enjoy the little jam session with him and other musicians.

A while later the session got bigger - Café co-owner Alice, a singer herself, joined in, so did Thomas Brendgens-Mönkemeyer (far right) who had just given a concert in the Lukaskirche in Vallendar before the session and who's amazing Jazz-Workshop Alexander attended the day before, as well as Fritz Rössel, Luthier (Alexander owns two of his outstanding handcrafted Fairytale Guitars) and musician extraordinaire from Koblenz (neon green shirt).

The audience loved the music, so someone started a spontaneous (and successful) collection...

...and the evening ended with a LOT of great music...

and back to Alexander's page...
